EBRD will decide at the end of February whether it will approve a EUR 33mn loan for the reconstruction of the Gazela Bridge in Belgrade. This announcement came on Thursday from the public enterprise Roads of Serbia (Putevi Srbije), Beta news agency reported.
A Roads of Serbia delegation, led by General Manager Zoran Drobnjak, spoke with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) management in London.
A statement after the meeting said that the condition of the bridge, the rehabilitation of the highway through Belgrade, as well as the continuity of the implementation of the action plan, were discussed at the meeting.
"EBRD representatives understood the seriousness of the situation, met with the Roads of Serbia delegation and scheduled a meeting of the bank's boards of directors for the end of February," the statement adds.
