"Turker" invests in wellness center

Turkish company "Turker" is going to become the majority owner of Bujanovačka spa resort, with the obligation to invest in wellness center in Bujanovac and tourism development in that region.

Minister Dinkić and his Turkish counterpart Omer Dinčer signed the agreements yesterday (October 26, 2009) on economic cooperation and cooperation in the field of infrastructure.

The Ministry of Economy of Serbia and Turkish company "Turker" signed the Memorandum of understanding for the company's investments in Bujanovačka spa resort.

The Minister of Economy of Serbia, Mlađan Dinkić, said at the business forum of Serbia and Turkey that that company wanted to have the wellness center built in Bujanovac and develop tourism.

- "Turker" would be the majority owner, while Serbia would be the minority partner in that joint venture - said Dinkić.

Dinkić said that the concrete amount of the investment would be defined in the following period.

Dinkić and the Minister of Labor and Social Insurance of Turkey earlier signed the agreements on economic cooperation and cooperation in the field of infrastructure.

The Agreement on cooperation in development of traffic and other infrastructure at local, regional and national level anticipates provision of favorable conditions for financing these projects.

The other document - the Agreement on economic cooperation, should create conditions for improvement of cooperation on long-term basis.
