Belgrade-based company "Alpe-Adria hoteli" has bought hotel "Jugoslavija" for €31.3m.
The hotel was not sold through the privatization process, but as a part of the property of "Dunav osiguranje" and the money goes to this company and not to the State. The starting price was €26m, but it went up after "Alpe adria" offered the price higher than the other two competitors: KLC holding SA from Luxembourg and off-shore company Pluto international Kingstown.
Representatives of the company "Alpe Adria Hotels" signed a contract with "Kempinski hotels" so this hotel will enter the chain of most luxurious hotels in the world.
The complex will have 26 thousand square meters for mixed purposes, 34 thousand for residential and commercial space and 30 thousand square meters of sales facilities.
Office building will be built in the shape of the tower, whose top floor will be residential. The sale part is anticipated for the presence of world famous brands and will be submitted to the management of the most successful entrepreneurs.
Reconstruction of this hotel is in plan.
