Vukov spomenik underground station

Information

The station is connected with the vestibule, entrance hall, by inclined tunnel. The vestibule structure is a three-storey underground building (pedestrian floor, vestibule, technical floor) of the total area of 4,755 m2, Ieaving for a possible connection with the future underground railway. There are three exits with staircases, two of them having escalators.

§ Within the complex of the underground railway station, an underground commercial centre with a garage has been built. The structure base is of an irregular jagged polygonal shape of gross area 5,280 m2, with maximum dimensions in the base 64.7x111.4 m2. In the structure there are two floors - a floor for the commercial centre and a floor for the garage.

§ From the traffic point of view, the capacity of one track is thirty trains per hour. Since the electro motor train has been adopted, having 1,320 seats, the carriage capacity is 23,760 passengers/hour.

§ In case of danger, the station can be quickly evacuated through emergency exits. The station has been completely fitted with the supporting equipment, like a polluted air exhaust plant, fire and noise fighting, installations with stand-by storage batteries, three shelters for special purposes 400 m long.

§ The underground station "Vukov spomenik" has the most modern equipment. The central system for supervision, control and regulation is the brain of the whole complex. Electro-power, telephone, TV, audio and video installations and systems as well as detection system and time measuring devices have high technical-technological performances. Heating, ventilation and airconditioning systems serve all areas including the platforms. The entire complex is executed in accordance with the first-class world regulations and standards.
